Women’s economic Empowerment through agriculture Value Chain Enhancement (WEAVE) is a project in Vietnam. It supports ethnic minority women’s economic empowerment in pork, cinnamon and banana value chains. This is achieved by promoting equality between women and men within households and producer groups, strengthening female and male producers’ skills and bargaining power, and working with businesses and government decision-makers to improve the policy environment to support producers. WEAVE is implemented by a consortium of CARE, Oxfam and SNV. Three key methodologies are used: Social Analysis and Actions (SAA) – CARE, Gender Action Learning System (GALS) – Oxfam, Balancing Benefits Approach (BBA) – SNV and Village saving and Loan association (VSLA) – CARE. This document is the mid-term review.
