In 2013 and 2014 Oxfam Novib collaborated with Farmers Union FACHIG in Zimbabwe to address gender and power issues in a livestock value chain. Farmers in Muzarabani District used the Gender Action Learning System to change gender relations, challenge social norms and to mobilise farmers to re-organise the livestock trading system. GIZ supported the project and its documentation to increase the knowledge base on gender in value chain development projects.
