This publication by PELUM Uganda in 2016 describes how the Gender Action Learning System (GALS) was adapted and integrated into development programmes in Uganda. It is intended for project designers and implementers as guiding examples. It provides four different cases: in a Functional Adult Literacy programme, in Village Savings and Lending Associations (VSLAs), in Agricultural extension and in Advocacy. These cases are based on experience with GALS in Uganda between 2011 and 2015 by CEFORD, CREAM, VEDCO, ESAFF and PELUM in Uganda, supported by Oxfam in Uganda and Oxfam Novib in the Netherlands.
